Peter Andres and Chris Chapman met in the Glass Studio of the Art department at Kent State University in 1979. They became glass partners in 1980 and continued to work as a team from then on. Peter’s graduate work in the MFA program in Glass at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) unearthed a love of teaching. A Graduate Assistantship at RIT led to a Teaching Assistantship at Pilchuck School of Glass, a Fellowship at The Creative Glass Center of America, teaching at Penland School of Crafts, and an Assistant Professorship at RIT. Gradually, the duo turned entirely to studio work, producing glass across the country for various galleries, museums, and Renaissance Festivals. Over the past thirty-odd years they have had the pleasure of making a lifestyle of what they love: glassblowing, travel, and child rearing.
